It was a beautiful day on Bank Holiday Monday for the Masters Historic Festival on the awesome Brands Hatch GP circuit with competitors and crowds out in force. The Woodgate Team fielded 2 cars – Mark Midgley’s DB3/6 in the RAC Woodcote Trophy Race and the newly prepared DB4GT Zagato of Robert Rawe contesting the Gentleman Driver’s Race, with Chris co-driving in both events.

The Woodcote Trophy race was up first with DB3/6 starting in 16th position. After 50 minutes of hard racing, Mark and Chris brought the car home a stunning 7th Overall and 1st in Class.

The Gentleman Drivers contest had no less then 44 entrants for this tough 90 minute endurance race. When the chequered flag fell, Robert and Chris were in a very credible 25th place overall and were the first Aston Martin. This is a fantastic result for this car in its very first race.
